We are seeking an organized and self-motivated receptionist who will be responsible for providing support to our Hennessey Funeral Home & Crematory location. The receptionist’s role will include working closely with our leadership team by handling clerical duties, coordinating calendars, and organizing meetings. To be successful in this position you should be detail-oriented, professional and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The “Who”

∙ High School Diploma or equivalent;

∙ 2+ years of receptionist or clerical experience;

∙ High degree of overall computer proficiency;

∙ High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & Google Docs; and

∙ Proficiency with multi-line phone systems and general office equipment.

The “What”

∙ Answers telephone and gives information to callers or routes calls to the appropriate person and places outgoing calls for the business;

∙ Greets and escorts all visitors and their guests;

∙ Schedules appointments for the business;

∙ Composes and types correspondence as needed;

∙ Compiles and reports on statistical data as required by the business or Managing Partner;

∙ Inputs data into CFSS system accurately, completely, and timely;

∙ Assists client families with processing necessary paperwork and scheduling appointments;

∙ Receives and records payments from client families;

∙ Updates and maintains files and related systems for the business;

∙ Coordinates and maintains office supplies and equipment;

∙ Serves as a backup in other administrative functions as needs dictate; and

∙ Other duties as assigned

$17.00 – $19.00 per hour

Spokane, WA 99207: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)


High school or equivalent (Preferred)
