We are looking for a winning Advanced Planning Sales Manager to join the leadership team and support. The right Sales Manager is a relentless competitor, holds the highest expectations of team-winning, and successfully leads the sales staff in assisting families with pre-planning interment arrangements. This includes the selection and purchase of property, merchandise, and services and ensures that every client family is presented every option and provided with the highest quality, most professional and ethical service possible.
∙ 5+ years Cemetery Sales & Cemetery Sales Leadership experience required;
∙ Some college required; college degree preferred; and
∙ Proven track record of team development and sales management success and revenue growth.
∙ Represents the company in the highest and caring manner, maintaining a professional personal appearance and employing honesty, integrity, and ethical methods of performing duties;
∙ Cultivates, builds, and leads a winning sales culture and executes this vision effectively as a proven leader.
∙ Recruits team leaders to cultivate teams of 5-10 sales counselors each;
∙ Recruits and develops a high-quality sales staff to ensure sales goals are meet based on company standards in revenue generation;
∙ Develop a healthy pipeline of new sales, prospects, and contacts;
∙ Evaluate sales staff efforts and sales production on a daily/weekly/monthly basis;
∙ Provides mentoring, coaching, motivating and training needed to members of the sales team;
∙ Works with the managing partner, successfully develops effective marketing programs in sales/business development efforts;
∙ Meets to update, coach and motivate team as well as coaching sessions with sales team members as needed;
∙ Ensures all required sales documents are completed accurately and submitted in a timely;
∙ Manages the sales teams’ schedule, licensing/continuing education (if applicable) and other managerial duties; and
∙ Monitors sales staff activities and performance, cancellations, client-family complaints, and issues;
∙ Creates commission and incentive programs that encourage market share growth and sales goals; and
∙ Maintains positive and proactive communication and cooperation with all employees.
